Would a New Clean Air Act be Worse than What We Already Have?

June 7, 2013

Twain and Clean Air ActMany people don’t want to change the Clean Air Act because they think that whatever we get from Congress will be worse than what we already have.

  • Who has made a change for the worse in their life?
  •  Who has made a change for the better?
  •  Which is more often the result?

I think we will one day look back on our life and see that most of our mistakes were not commissions—but omissions.  It will not be our changes—but our lack of changes we will most regret.  It will not be the bad things we did—but the good things we didn’t that will trouble us most.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.  So throw off the bowlines.  Sail away from the safe harbor.  Catch the trade winds in your sails.  Explore.  Dream.  Discover.”—Mark Twain

The world is changing.  We must change with it.  Time to transform the SIP process.  We can make it happen.
